يَسْتَفْتُونَكَ قُلِ ٱللَّهُ يُفْتِيكُمْ فِى ٱلْكَلَـٰلَةِۚ إِنِ ٱمْرُؤٌاْ هَلَكَ لَيْسَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌ وَلَهُۥٓ أُخْتٌ فَلَهَا نِصْفُ مَا تَرَكَۚ وَهُوَ يَرِثُهَآ إِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهَا وَلَدٌۚ فَإِن كَانَتَا ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُمَا ٱلثُّلُثَانِ مِمَّا تَرَكَۚ وَإِن كَانُوٓاْ إِخْوَةً رِّجَالاً وَنِسَآءً فَلِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِۗ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ أَن تَضِلُّواْۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمُۢ 176

Al-Maaida · Surah 5
بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓاْ أَوْفُواْ بِٱلْعُقُودِۚ أُحِلَّتْ لَكُم بَهِيمَةُ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ إِلَّا مَا يُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْكُمْ غَيْرَ مُحِلِّى ٱلصَّيْدِ وَأَنتُمْ حُرُمٌۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَحْكُمُ مَا يُرِيدُ 1
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ لَا تُحِلُّواْ شَعَـٰٓئِرَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا ٱلشَّهْرَ ٱلْحَرَامَ وَلَا ٱلْهَدْىَ وَلَا ٱلْقَلَـٰٓئِدَ وَلَآ ءَآمِّينَ ٱلْبَيْتَ ٱلْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلاً مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَٲنًاۚ وَإِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَٱصْطَادُواْۚ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَـَٔـانُ قَوْمٍ أَن صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمَسْجِدِ ٱلْحَرَامِ أَن تَعْتَدُواْۘ وَتَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُواْ عَلَى ٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٲنِۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَۖ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ 2
يَسْتَفْتُونَكَyastaftūnakaThey seek your rulingقُلِquliSayٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahيُفْتِيكُمْyuf'tīkumgives you a rulingفِىfīconcerningٱلْكَلَـٰلَةِ ۚl-kalālatithe Kalalaإِنِiniifٱمْرُؤٌا۟im'ru-ona manهَلَكَhalakadiedلَيْسَlaysa(and) notلَهُۥlahuhe hasوَلَدٌۭwaladuna childوَلَهُۥٓwalahuand he hasأُخْتٌۭukh'tuna sisterفَلَهَاfalahāthen for herنِصْفُniṣ'fu(is) a halfمَاmā(of) whatتَرَكَ ۚtarakahe leftوَهُوَwahuwaAnd heيَرِثُهَآyarithuhāwill inherit from herإِنinifلَّمْlamnotيَكُنyakunisلَّهَاlahāfor herوَلَدٌۭ ۚwaladuna childفَإِنfa-inBut ifكَانَتَاkānatāthere wereٱثْنَتَيْنِith'nataynitwo femalesفَلَهُمَاfalahumāthen for themٱلثُّلُثَانِl-thuluthānitwo thirdsمِمَّاmimmāof whatتَرَكَ ۚtarakahe leftوَإِنwa-inBut ifكَانُوٓا۟kānūthey wereإِخْوَةًۭikh'watanbrothers and sistersرِّجَالًۭاrijālanmenوَنِسَآءًۭwanisāanand womenفَلِلذَّكَرِfalildhakarithen the male will haveمِثْلُmith'lulikeحَظِّḥaẓẓishareٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۗl-unthayayni(of) the two femalesيُبَيِّنُyubayyinumakes clearٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahلَكُمْlakumto youأَنanlestتَضِلُّوا۟ ۗtaḍillūyou go astrayوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuAnd Allahبِكُلِّbikulliof everyشَىْءٍshayinthingعَلِيمٌۢʿalīmun(is) All-Knower
4:176
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāOٱلَّذِينَalladhīnayou (who)ءَامَنُوٓا۟āmanūbelieveأَوْفُوا۟awfūFulfilبِٱلْعُقُودِ ۚbil-ʿuqūdithe contractsأُحِلَّتْuḥillatAre made lawfulلَكُمlakumfor youبَهِيمَةُbahīmatuthe quadrupedٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِl-anʿāmi(of) the grazing livestockإِلَّاillāexceptمَاmāwhatيُتْلَىٰyut'lāis recitedعَلَيْكُمْʿalaykumon youغَيْرَghayranotمُحِلِّىmuḥillībeing permittedٱلصَّيْدِl-ṣaydi(to) huntوَأَنتُمْwa-antumwhile youحُرُمٌ ۗḥurumun(are in) IhramإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahيَحْكُمُyaḥkumudecreesمَاmāwhatيُرِيدُyurīduHe wills
5:1
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَاyāayyuhāOٱلَّذِينَalladhīnayou (who)ءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieveلَاlā(Do) notتُحِلُّوا۟tuḥillūviolateشَعَـٰٓئِرَshaʿāira(the) ritesٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَلَاwalāand notٱلشَّهْرَl-shahrathe monthٱلْحَرَامَl-ḥarāmathe sacredوَلَاwalāand notٱلْهَدْىَl-hadyathe sacrificial animalsوَلَاwalāand notٱلْقَلَـٰٓئِدَl-qalāidathe garlandedوَلَآwalāand notءَآمِّينَāmmīna(those) comingٱلْبَيْتَl-bayta(to) the Houseٱلْحَرَامَl-ḥarāmathe SacredيَبْتَغُونَyabtaghūnaseekingفَضْلًۭاfaḍlanBountyمِّنminofرَّبِّهِمْrabbihimtheir Lordوَرِضْوَٰنًۭا ۚwariḍ'wānanand good pleasureوَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenحَلَلْتُمْḥalaltumyou come out of Ihramفَٱصْطَادُوا۟ ۚfa-iṣ'ṭādūthen (you may) huntوَلَاwalāAnd let notيَجْرِمَنَّكُمْyajrimannakumincite youشَنَـَٔانُshanaānu(the) hatredقَوْمٍqawmin(for) a peopleأَنanasصَدُّوكُمْṣaddūkumthey stopped youعَنِʿanifromٱلْمَسْجِدِl-masjidiAl-Masjidٱلْحَرَامِl-ḥarāmiAl-Haraamأَنanthatتَعْتَدُوا۟ ۘtaʿtadūyou commit transgressionوَتَعَاوَنُوا۟wataʿāwanūAnd help one anotherعَلَىʿalāinٱلْبِرِّl-biri[the] righteousnessوَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖwal-taqwāand [the] pietyوَلَاwalābut (do) notتَعَاوَنُوا۟taʿāwanūhelp one anotherعَلَىʿalāinٱلْإِثْمِl-ith'mi[the] sinوَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ ۚwal-ʿud'wāniand [the] transgressionوَٱتَّقُوا۟wa-ittaqūAnd fearٱللَّهَ ۖl-lahaAllahإِنَّinnaindeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahشَدِيدُshadīdu(is) severeٱلْعِقَابِl-ʿiqābi(in) [the] punishment
5:2
