۞ لَّا يُحِبُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْجَهْرَ بِٱلسُّوٓءِ مِنَ ٱلْقَوْلِ إِلَّا مَن ظُلِمَۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ سَمِيعًا عَلِيمًا 148
إِن تُبْدُواْ خَيْرًا أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ أَوْ تَعْفُواْ عَن سُوٓءٍ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَفُوًّا قَدِيرًا 149
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْفُرُونَ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن يُفَرِّقُواْ بَيْنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَيَقُولُونَ نُؤْمِنُ بِبَعْضٍ وَنَكْفُرُ بِبَعْضٍ وَيُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَّخِذُواْ بَيْنَ ذَٲلِكَ سَبِيلاً 150
أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ حَقًّاۚ وَأَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ عَذَابًا مُّهِينًا 151
وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ بِٱللَّهِ وَرُسُلِهِۦ وَلَمْ يُفَرِّقُواْ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍ مِّنْهُمْ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ سَوْفَ يُؤْتِيهِمْ أُجُورَهُمْۗ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا 152
يَسْــَٔلُكَ أَهْلُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ أَن تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ كِتَـٰبًا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِۚ فَقَدْ سَأَلُواْ مُوسَىٰٓ أَكْبَرَ مِن ذَٲلِكَ فَقَالُوٓاْ أَرِنَا ٱللَّهَ جَهْرَةً فَأَخَذَتْهُمُ ٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُ بِظُلْمِهِمْۚ ثُمَّ ٱتَّخَذُواْ ٱلْعِجْلَ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتُ فَعَفَوْنَا عَن ذَٲلِكَۚ وَءَاتَيْنَا مُوسَىٰ سُلْطَـٰنًا مُّبِينًا 153
وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ ٱلطُّورَ بِمِيثَـٰقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱدْخُلُواْ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُواْ فِى ٱلسَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَـٰقًا غَلِيظًا 154
۞ لَّاlā(Does) notيُحِبُّyuḥibbuloveٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahٱلْجَهْرَl-jahrathe public mentionبِٱلسُّوٓءِbil-sūiof [the] evilمِنَmina[of]ٱلْقَوْلِl-qawli[the] wordsإِلَّاillāexceptمَنman(by the one) whoظُلِمَ ۚẓulimahas been wrongedوَكَانَwakānaAnd isٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahسَمِيعًاsamīʿanAll-HearingعَلِيمًاʿalīmanAll-Knowing
4:148
إِنinIfتُبْدُوا۟tub'dūyou discloseخَيْرًاkhayrana goodأَوْaworتُخْفُوهُtukh'fūhuyou conceal itأَوْaworتَعْفُوا۟taʿfūpardonعَنʿan[of]سُوٓءٍۢsūinan evilفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahكَانَkānaisعَفُوًّۭاʿafuwwanOft-PardoningقَدِيرًاqadīranAll-Powerful
4:149
إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيَكْفُرُونَyakfurūnadisbelieveبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiin Allahوَرُسُلِهِۦwarusulihiand His Messengersوَيُرِيدُونَwayurīdūnaand they wishأَنanthatيُفَرِّقُوا۟yufarriqūthey differentiateبَيْنَbaynabetweenٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahوَرُسُلِهِۦwarusulihiand His Messengersوَيَقُولُونَwayaqūlūnaand they sayنُؤْمِنُnu'minuWe believeبِبَعْضٍۢbibaʿḍinin someوَنَكْفُرُwanakfuruand we disbelieveبِبَعْضٍۢbibaʿḍinin othersوَيُرِيدُونَwayurīdūnaAnd they wishأَنanthatيَتَّخِذُوا۟yattakhidhūthey takeبَيْنَbaynabetweenذَٰلِكَdhālikathatسَبِيلًاsabīlana way
4:150
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThose هُمُhumutheyٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَl-kāfirūna(are) the disbelieversحَقًّۭا ۚḥaqqantrulyوَأَعْتَدْنَاwa-aʿtadnāAnd We have preparedلِلْكَـٰفِرِينَlil'kāfirīnafor the disbelieversعَذَابًۭاʿadhābana punishmentمُّهِينًۭاmuhīnanhumiliating
4:151
وَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaAnd those whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieveبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiin Allahوَرُسُلِهِۦwarusulihiand His Messengersوَلَمْwalamand notيُفَرِّقُوا۟yufarriqūthey differentiateبَيْنَbaynabetweenأَحَدٍۢaḥadin(any) oneمِّنْهُمْmin'humof themأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikathose سَوْفَsawfasoonيُؤْتِيهِمْyu'tīhimHe will give themأُجُورَهُمْ ۗujūrahumtheir rewardوَكَانَwakānaAnd isٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahغَفُورًۭاghafūranOft-ForgivingرَّحِيمًۭاraḥīmanMost Merciful
4:152
يَسْـَٔلُكَyasalukaAsk youأَهْلُahlu(the) Peopleٱلْكِتَـٰبِl-kitābi(of) the Bookأَنanthatتُنَزِّلَtunazzilayou bring downعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themكِتَـٰبًۭاkitābana bookمِّنَminafromٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚl-samāithe heavenفَقَدْfaqadThen indeedسَأَلُوا۟sa-alūthey (had) askedمُوسَىٰٓmūsāMusaأَكْبَرَakbaragreaterمِنminthanذَٰلِكَdhālikathatفَقَالُوٓا۟faqālūfor they saidأَرِنَاarināShow usٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahجَهْرَةًۭjahratanmanifestlyفَأَخَذَتْهُمُfa-akhadhathumuso struck themٱلصَّـٰعِقَةُl-ṣāʿiqatuthe thunderboltبِظُلْمِهِمْ ۚbiẓul'mihimfor their wrongdoingثُمَّthummaThenٱتَّخَذُوا۟ittakhadhūthey tookٱلْعِجْلَl-ʿij'lathe calf (for worship)مِنۢminfromبَعْدِbaʿdiafterمَاmā[what]جَآءَتْهُمُjāathumucame to themٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتُl-bayinātuthe clear proofsفَعَفَوْنَاfaʿafawnāthen We forgave themعَنʿanforذَٰلِكَ ۚdhālikathatوَءَاتَيْنَاwaātaynāAnd We gaveمُوسَىٰmūsāMusaسُلْطَـٰنًۭاsul'ṭānanan authorityمُّبِينًۭاmubīnanclear
4:153
وَرَفَعْنَاwarafaʿnāAnd We raisedفَوْقَهُمُfawqahumuover themٱلطُّورَl-ṭūrathe mountبِمِيثَـٰقِهِمْbimīthāqihimfor their covenantوَقُلْنَاwaqul'nāand We saidلَهُمُlahumuto themٱدْخُلُوا۟ud'khulūEnterٱلْبَابَl-bābathe gateسُجَّدًۭاsujjadanprostratingوَقُلْنَاwaqul'nāAnd We saidلَهُمْlahumto themلَاlā(Do) notتَعْدُوا۟taʿdūtransgressفِىfīinٱلسَّبْتِl-sabtithe Sabbathوَأَخَذْنَاwa-akhadhnāAnd We tookمِنْهُمmin'humfrom themمِّيثَـٰقًاmīthāqana covenantغَلِيظًۭاghalīẓansolemn
4:154
