وَإِذْ أَخَذَ ٱللَّهُ مِيثَـٰقَ ٱلَّذِينَ أُوتُواْ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ لَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُۥ لِلنَّاسِ وَلَا تَكْتُمُونَهُۥ فَنَبَذُوهُ وَرَآءَ ظُهُورِهِمْ وَٱشْتَرَوْاْ بِهِۦ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلاًۖ فَبِئْسَ مَا يَشْتَرُونَ 187
لَا تَحْسَبَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَفْرَحُونَ بِمَآ أَتَواْ وَّيُحِبُّونَ أَن يُحْمَدُواْ بِمَا لَمْ يَفْعَلُواْ فَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّهُم بِمَفَازَةٍ مِّنَ ٱلْعَذَابِۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ 188
وَلِلَّهِ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِۗ وَٱللَّهُ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ 189
إِنَّ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ لَأَيَـٰتٍ لِّأُوْلِى ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ 190
ٱلَّذِينَ يَذْكُرُونَ ٱللَّهَ قِيَـٰمًا وَقُعُودًا وَعَلَىٰ جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هَـٰذَا بَـٰطِلاً سُبْحَـٰنَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ ٱلنَّارِ 191
رَبَّنَآ إِنَّكَ مَن تُدْخِلِ ٱلنَّارَ فَقَدْ أَخْزَيْتَهُۥۖ وَمَا لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ مِنْ أَنصَارٍ 192
رَّبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا سَمِعْنَا مُنَادِيًا يُنَادِى لِلْإِيمَـٰنِ أَنْ ءَامِنُواْ بِرَبِّكُمْ فَـَٔـامَنَّاۚ رَبَّنَا فَٱغْفِرْ لَنَا ذُنُوبَنَا وَكَفِّرْ عَنَّا سَيِّـَٔـاتِنَا وَتَوَفَّنَا مَعَ ٱلْأَبْرَارِ 193
رَبَّنَا وَءَاتِنَا مَا وَعَدتَّنَا عَلَىٰ رُسُلِكَ وَلَا تُخْزِنَا يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِۗ إِنَّكَ لَا تُخْلِفُ ٱلْمِيعَادَ 194
وَإِذْwa-idhAnd whenأَخَذَakhadhatookٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahمِيثَـٰقَmīthāqaa Covenantٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(from) those whoأُوتُوا۟ūtūwere givenٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe BookلَتُبَيِّنُنَّهُۥlatubayyinunnahuYou certainly make it clearلِلنَّاسِlilnnāsito the mankindوَلَاwalāand (do) notتَكْتُمُونَهُۥtaktumūnahuconceal itفَنَبَذُوهُfanabadhūhuThen they threw itوَرَآءَwarāabehindظُهُورِهِمْẓuhūrihimtheir backsوَٱشْتَرَوْا۟wa-ish'tarawand they exchangedبِهِۦbihi[with] itثَمَنًۭاthamanan(for) a priceقَلِيلًۭا ۖqalīlanlittleفَبِئْسَfabi'saAnd wretchedمَاmā(is) whatيَشْتَرُونَyashtarūnathey purchase
3:187
لَاlā(Do) notتَحْسَبَنَّtaḥsabannathinkٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(that) those whoيَفْرَحُونَyafraḥūnarejoiceبِمَآbimāin whatأَتَوا۟ataw(they have) broughtوَّيُحِبُّونَwayuḥibbūnaand they loveأَنanthatيُحْمَدُوا۟yuḥ'madūthey be praisedبِمَاbimāfor whatلَمْlamnotيَفْعَلُوا۟yafʿalūthey do فَلَاfalāso (do) notتَحْسَبَنَّهُمtaḥsabannahumthink (that) theyبِمَفَازَةٍۢbimafāzatin(will) escapeمِّنَminafromٱلْعَذَابِ ۖl-ʿadhābithe punishmentوَلَهُمْwalahumand for themعَذَابٌʿadhābun(is a) punishmentأَلِيمٌۭalīmunpainful
3:188
وَلِلَّهِwalillahiAnd for Allahمُلْكُmul'ku(is the) dominionٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِ ۗwal-arḍiand the earthوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuand Allahعَلَىٰʿalā(is) onكُلِّkullieveryشَىْءٍۢshayinthingقَدِيرٌqadīrunAll-Powerful
3:189
إِنَّinnaIndeedفِىfīinخَلْقِkhalqi(the) creationٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthوَٱخْتِلَـٰفِwa-ikh'tilāfiand (in the) alternationٱلَّيْلِal-layli(of) the nightوَٱلنَّهَارِwal-nahāriand the dayلَـَٔايَـٰتٍۢlaāyātin(are) surely Signsلِّأُو۟لِىli-ulīfor menٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِl-albābi(of) understanding
3:190
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoيَذْكُرُونَyadhkurūnarememberٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahقِيَـٰمًۭاqiyāmanstandingوَقُعُودًۭاwaquʿūdanand sittingوَعَلَىٰwaʿalāand onجُنُوبِهِمْjunūbihimtheir sidesوَيَتَفَكَّرُونَwayatafakkarūnaand they reflectفِىfīonخَلْقِkhalqi(the) creationٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwāti(of) the heavensوَٱلْأَرْضِwal-arḍiand the earthرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur LordمَاmānotخَلَقْتَkhalaqtaYou have createdهَـٰذَاhādhāthisبَـٰطِلًۭاbāṭilan(in) vainسُبْحَـٰنَكَsub'ḥānakaGlory be to Youفَقِنَاfaqināso save usعَذَابَʿadhāba(from the) punishmentٱلنَّارِl-nāri(of) the Fire
3:191
رَبَّنَآrabbanāOur Lordإِنَّكَinnakaindeed [You]مَنmanwhomتُدْخِلِtud'khiliYou admitٱلنَّارَl-nāra(to) the Fireفَقَدْfaqadthen surelyأَخْزَيْتَهُۥ ۖakhzaytahuYou (have) disgraced himوَمَاwamāand notلِلظَّـٰلِمِينَlilẓẓālimīnafor the wrongdoersمِنْmin(are) anyأَنصَارٍۢanṣārinhelpers
3:192
رَّبَّنَآrabbanāOur Lordإِنَّنَاinnanāindeed weسَمِعْنَاsamiʿ'nā[we] heardمُنَادِيًۭاmunādiyana callerيُنَادِىyunādīcallingلِلْإِيمَـٰنِlil'īmānito the faithأَنْanthatءَامِنُوا۟āminūBelieveبِرَبِّكُمْbirabbikumin your Lordفَـَٔامَنَّا ۚfaāmannāso we have believedرَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lordفَٱغْفِرْfa-igh'firso forgiveلَنَاlanāfor usذُنُوبَنَاdhunūbanāour sinsوَكَفِّرْwakaffirand removeعَنَّاʿannāfrom usسَيِّـَٔاتِنَاsayyiātināour evil deedsوَتَوَفَّنَاwatawaffanāand cause us to dieمَعَmaʿawithٱلْأَبْرَارِl-abrārithe righteous
3:193
رَبَّنَاrabbanāOur Lordوَءَاتِنَاwaātināgrant usمَاmāwhatوَعَدتَّنَاwaʿadttanāYou promised usعَلَىٰʿalāthroughرُسُلِكَrusulikaYour Messengersوَلَاwalāand (do) notتُخْزِنَاtukh'zinādisgrace usيَوْمَyawma(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۗl-qiyāmati(of) [the] ResurrectionإِنَّكَinnakaIndeed, Youلَاlā(do) notتُخْلِفُtukh'lifubreakٱلْمِيعَادَl-mīʿādathe promise
3:194
