وَلَا تَقُولُواْ لِمَن يُقْتَلُ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ أَمْوَٲتُۢۚ بَلْ أَحْيَآءٌ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا تَشْعُرُونَ 154
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَىْءٍ مِّنَ ٱلْخَوْفِ وَٱلْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْوَٲلِ وَٱلْأَنفُسِ وَٱلثَّمَرَٲتِۗ وَبَشِّرِ ٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَ 155
ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَـٰبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَٲجِعُونَ 156
أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ صَلَوَٲتٌ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَرَحْمَةٌۖ وَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُهْتَدُونَ 157
۞ إِنَّ ٱلصَّفَا وَٱلْمَرْوَةَ مِن شَعَآئِرِ ٱللَّهِۖ فَمَنْ حَجَّ ٱلْبَيْتَ أَوِ ٱعْتَمَرَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ أَن يَطَّوَّفَ بِهِمَاۚ وَمَن تَطَوَّعَ خَيْرًا فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَاكِرٌ عَلِيمٌ 158
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَكْتُمُونَ مَآ أَنزَلْنَا مِنَ ٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ وَٱلْهُدَىٰ مِنۢ بَعْدِ مَا بَيَّنَّـٰهُ لِلنَّاسِ فِى ٱلْكِتَـٰبِۙ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ يَلْعَنُهُمُ ٱللَّهُ وَيَلْعَنُهُمُ ٱللَّـٰعِنُونَ 159
إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُواْ وَأَصْلَحُواْ وَبَيَّنُواْ فَأُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ أَتُوبُ عَلَيْهِمْۚ وَأَنَا ٱلتَّوَّابُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ 160
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ وَمَاتُواْ وَهُمْ كُفَّارٌ أُوْلَـٰٓئِكَ عَلَيْهِمْ لَعْنَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ وَٱلنَّاسِ أَجْمَعِينَ 161
خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ لَا يُخَفَّفُ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْعَذَابُ وَلَا هُمْ يُنظَرُونَ 162
وَإِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٲحِدٌۖ لَّآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ 163
وَلَاwalāAnd (do) notتَقُولُوا۟taqūlūsayلِمَنlimanfor (the ones) whoيُقْتَلُyuq'taluare slainفِىfīinسَبِيلِsabīli(the) wayٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahأَمْوَٰتٌۢ ۚamwātun(They are) deadبَلْbalNayأَحْيَآءٌۭaḥyāon(they are) aliveوَلَـٰكِنwalākin[and] butلَّاlāyou (do) notتَشْعُرُونَtashʿurūnaperceive
2:154
وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمwalanabluwannakumAnd surely We will test youبِشَىْءٍۢbishayinwith somethingمِّنَminaofٱلْخَوْفِl-khawfi[the] fearوَٱلْجُوعِwal-jūʿiand [the] hungerوَنَقْصٍۢwanaqṣinand lossمِّنَminaofٱلْأَمْوَٰلِl-amwāli[the] wealthوَٱلْأَنفُسِwal-anfusiand [the] livesوَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ ۗwal-thamarātiand [the] fruitsوَبَشِّرِwabashiribut give good newsٱلصَّـٰبِرِينَl-ṣābirīna(to) the patient ones
2:155
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoإِذَآidhāwhenأَصَـٰبَتْهُمaṣābathumstrikes themمُّصِيبَةٌۭmuṣībatuna misfortuneقَالُوٓا۟qālūthey sayإِنَّاinnāIndeed, weلِلَّهِlillahibelong to Allahوَإِنَّآwa-innāand indeed weإِلَيْهِilayhitowards Himرَٰجِعُونَrājiʿūnawill return
2:156
أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikaThoseعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimon themصَلَوَٰتٌۭṣalawātun(are) blessingsمِّنminfromرَّبِّهِمْrabbihimtheir Lordوَرَحْمَةٌۭ ۖwaraḥmatunand Mercyوَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَwa-ulāikaAnd thoseهُمُhumu[they]ٱلْمُهْتَدُونَl-muh'tadūna(are) the guided ones
2:157
۞ إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلصَّفَاl-ṣafāthe Safaوَٱلْمَرْوَةَwal-marwataand the Marwahمِنmin(are) fromشَعَآئِرِshaʿāiri(the) symbolsٱللَّهِ ۖl-lahi(of) AllahفَمَنْfamanSo whoeverحَجَّḥajjaperforms Hajjٱلْبَيْتَl-bayta(of) the Houseأَوِawiorٱعْتَمَرَiʿ'tamaraperforms Umrahفَلَاfalāso noجُنَاحَjunāḥablameعَلَيْهِʿalayhion himأَنanthatيَطَّوَّفَyaṭṭawwafahe walksبِهِمَا ۚbihimābetween [both of] themوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverتَطَوَّعَtaṭawwaʿavoluntarily doesخَيْرًۭاkhayrangoodفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahشَاكِرٌshākirun(is) All-AppreciativeعَلِيمٌʿalīmunAll-Knowing
2:158
إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيَكْتُمُونَyaktumūnaconcealمَآmāwhatأَنزَلْنَاanzalnāWe revealedمِنَminaofٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِl-bayinātithe clear proofsوَٱلْهُدَىٰwal-hudāand the Guidanceمِنۢminfromبَعْدِbaʿdiafterمَاmā[what]بَيَّنَّـٰهُbayyannāhuWe made clearلِلنَّاسِlilnnāsito the peopleفِىfīinٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ۙl-kitābithe Book أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikathoseيَلْعَنُهُمُyalʿanuhumucurses themٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahوَيَلْعَنُهُمُwayalʿanuhumuand curse themٱللَّـٰعِنُونَl-lāʿinūnathe ones who curse
2:159
إِلَّاillāExceptٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathoseتَابُوا۟tābūwho repent[ed]وَأَصْلَحُوا۟wa-aṣlaḥūand reform[ed]وَبَيَّنُوا۟wabayyanūand openly declar[ed]فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَfa-ulāikaThen thoseأَتُوبُatūbuI will accept repentanceعَلَيْهِمْ ۚʿalayhimfrom themوَأَنَاwa-anāand I (am)ٱلتَّوَّابُl-tawābuthe Acceptor of Repentanceٱلرَّحِيمُl-raḥīmuthe Most Merciful
2:160
إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelieve[d]وَمَاتُوا۟wamātūand die[d]وَهُمْwahumwhile theyكُفَّارٌkuffārun(were) disbelieversأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَulāikathoseعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimon themلَعْنَةُlaʿnatu(is the) curseٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِwal-malāikatiand the Angelsوَٱلنَّاسِwal-nāsiand the mankindأَجْمَعِينَajmaʿīnaall together
2:161
خَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīna(Will) abide foreverفِيهَا ۖfīhāin itلَاlāNotيُخَفَّفُyukhaffafuwill be lightenedعَنْهُمُʿanhumufor themٱلْعَذَابُl-ʿadhābuthe punishmentوَلَاwalāand notهُمْhumtheyيُنظَرُونَyunẓarūnawill be reprieved
2:162
وَإِلَـٰهُكُمْwa-ilāhukumAnd your Godإِلَـٰهٌۭilāhun(is) Godوَٰحِدٌۭ ۖwāḥidunone (only)لَّآlā(there is) noإِلَـٰهَilāhagodإِلَّاillāexceptهُوَhuwaHimٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُl-raḥmānuthe Most Graciousٱلرَّحِيمُl-raḥīmuthe Most Merciful
2:163
