هُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَكُمْ خَلَـٰٓئِفَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِۚ فَمَن كَفَرَ فَعَلَيْهِ كُفْرُهُۖۥ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ إِلَّا مَقْتًاۖ وَلَا يَزِيدُ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ كُفْرُهُمْ إِلَّا خَسَارًا 39
قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ شُرَكَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَرُونِى مَاذَا خَلَقُواْ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ كِتَـٰبًا فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَتٍ مِّنْهُۚ بَلْ إِن يَعِدُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا 40
۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُمْسِكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ أَن تَزُولَاۚ وَلَئِن زَالَتَآ إِنْ أَمْسَكَهُمَا مِنْ أَحَدٍ مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِۚۦٓ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورًا 41
وَأَقْسَمُواْ بِٱللَّهِ جَهْدَ أَيْمَـٰنِهِمْ لَئِن جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ لَّيَكُونُنَّ أَهْدَىٰ مِنْ إِحْدَى ٱلْأُمَمِۖ فَلَمَّا جَآءَهُمْ نَذِيرٌ مَّا زَادَهُمْ إِلَّا نُفُورًا 42
ٱسْتِكْبَارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَكْرَ ٱلسَّيِّىِٕۚ وَلَا يَحِيقُ ٱلْمَكْرُ ٱلسَّيِّئُ إِلَّا بِأَهْلِهِۚۦ فَهَلْ يَنظُرُونَ إِلَّا سُنَّتَ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَۚ فَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّهِ تَبْدِيلاًۖ وَلَن تَجِدَ لِسُنَّتِ ٱللَّهِ تَحْوِيلاً 43
أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُواْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُواْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَكَانُوٓاْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّۚةً وَمَا كَانَ ٱللَّهُ لِيُعْجِزَهُۥ مِن شَىْءٍ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٲتِ وَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ عَلِيمًا قَدِيرًا 44
هُوَhuwaHeٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Whoجَعَلَكُمْjaʿalakummade youخَلَـٰٓئِفَkhalāifasuccessorsفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِ ۚl-arḍithe earthفَمَنfamanAnd whoeverكَفَرَkafaradisbelievesفَعَلَيْهِfaʿalayhithen upon himكُفْرُهُۥ ۖkuf'ruhu(is) his disbeliefوَلَاwalāAnd notيَزِيدُyazīduincreaseٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīnathe disbelieversكُفْرُهُمْkuf'ruhumtheir disbeliefعِندَʿindanearرَبِّهِمْrabbihimtheir Lordإِلَّاillāexceptمَقْتًۭا ۖmaqtan(in) hatredوَلَاwalāand notيَزِيدُyazīduincreaseٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīnathe disbelieversكُفْرُهُمْkuf'ruhumtheir disbeliefإِلَّاillāexceptخَسَارًۭاkhasāran(in) loss
35:39
قُلْqulSayأَرَءَيْتُمْara-aytumHave you seenشُرَكَآءَكُمُshurakāakumuyour partnersٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whomتَدْعُونَtadʿūnayou callمِنminbesidesدُونِdūnibesidesٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahأَرُونِىarūnīShow Meمَاذَاmādhāwhatخَلَقُوا۟khalaqūthey have createdمِنَminafromٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthأَمْamorلَهُمْlahumfor themشِرْكٌۭshir'kun(is) a shareفِىfīinٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensأَمْamOrءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْātaynāhumhave We given themكِتَـٰبًۭاkitābana Bookفَهُمْfahumso theyعَلَىٰʿalā(are) onبَيِّنَتٍۢbayyinatina clear proofمِّنْهُ ۚmin'hutherefromبَلْbalNayإِنinnotيَعِدُyaʿidupromiseٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَl-ẓālimūnathe wrongdoersبَعْضُهُمbaʿḍuhumsome of themبَعْضًاbaʿḍan(to) othersإِلَّاillāexceptغُرُورًاghurūrandelusion
35:40
۞ إِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahيُمْسِكُyum'sikuupholdsٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَٱلْأَرْضَwal-arḍaand the earthأَنanlestتَزُولَا ۚtazūlāthey ceaseوَلَئِنwala-inAnd ifزَالَتَآzālatāthey should ceaseإِنْinnotأَمْسَكَهُمَاamsakahumācan uphold themمِنْminanyأَحَدٍۢaḥadinoneمِّنۢminafter Himبَعْدِهِۦٓ ۚbaʿdihiafter HimإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, HeكَانَkānaisحَلِيمًاḥalīmanMost ForbearingغَفُورًۭاghafūranOft-Forgiving
35:41
وَأَقْسَمُوا۟wa-aqsamūAnd they sworeبِٱللَّهِbil-lahiby Allahجَهْدَjahda(the) strongestأَيْمَـٰنِهِمْaymānihim(of) their oathsلَئِنla-inthat ifجَآءَهُمْjāahumcame to themنَذِيرٌۭnadhīruna warnerلَّيَكُونُنَّlayakūnunnasurely, they would beأَهْدَىٰahdāmore guidedمِنْminthanإِحْدَىiḥ'dāanyٱلْأُمَمِ ۖl-umami(of) the nationsفَلَمَّاfalammāBut whenجَآءَهُمْjāahumcame to themنَذِيرٌۭnadhīruna warnerمَّاmānotزَادَهُمْzādahumit increased themإِلَّاillābutنُفُورًاnufūran(in) aversion
35:42
ٱسْتِكْبَارًۭاis'tik'bāran(Due to) arroganceفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe landوَمَكْرَwamakraand plottingٱلسَّيِّئِ ۚl-sayi-i(of) the evilوَلَاwalābut notيَحِيقُyaḥīquencompassesٱلْمَكْرُl-makruthe plotٱلسَّيِّئُl-sayi-u(of) the evilإِلَّاillāexceptبِأَهْلِهِۦ ۚbi-ahlihiits own peopleفَهَلْfahalThen doيَنظُرُونَyanẓurūnathey waitإِلَّاillāexceptسُنَّتَsunnata(the) wayٱلْأَوَّلِينَ ۚl-awalīna(of) the former (people)فَلَنfalanBut neverتَجِدَtajidayou will findلِسُنَّتِlisunnatiin (the) wayٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahتَبْدِيلًۭا ۖtabdīlanany changeوَلَنwalanand neverتَجِدَtajidayou will findلِسُنَّتِlisunnatiin (the) wayٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahتَحْوِيلًاtaḥwīlanany alteration
35:43
أَوَلَمْawalamHave they notيَسِيرُوا۟yasīrūtraveledفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe landفَيَنظُرُوا۟fayanẓurūand seenكَيْفَkayfahowكَانَkānawasعَـٰقِبَةُʿāqibatu(the) endٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoمِنmin(were) before themقَبْلِهِمْqablihim(were) before themوَكَانُوٓا۟wakānūAnd they wereأَشَدَّashaddastrongerمِنْهُمْmin'humthan themقُوَّةًۭ ۚquwwatan(in) powerوَمَاwamāBut notكَانَkānaisٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahلِيُعْجِزَهُۥliyuʿ'jizahuthat can escape (from) Himمِنminanyشَىْءٍۢshayinthingفِىfīinٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِl-samāwātithe heavensوَلَاwalāand notفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِ ۚl-arḍithe earthإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, HeكَانَkānaisعَلِيمًۭاʿalīmanAll-KnowerقَدِيرًۭاqadīranAll-Powerful
35:44
