خَلَقَكُم مِّن نَّفْسٍ وَٲحِدَةٍ ثُمَّ جَعَلَ مِنْهَا زَوْجَهَا وَأَنزَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ ثَمَـٰنِيَةَ أَزْوَٲجٍۚ يَخْلُقُكُمْ فِى بُطُونِ أُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْ خَلْقًا مِّنۢ بَعْدِ خَلْقٍ فِى ظُلُمَـٰتٍ ثَلَـٰثٍۚ ذَٲلِكُمُ ٱللَّهُ رَبُّكُمْ لَهُ ٱلْمُلْكُۖ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَۖ فَأَنَّىٰ تُصْرَفُونَ 6
إِن تَكْفُرُواْ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِىٌّ عَنكُمْۖ وَلَا يَرْضَىٰ لِعِبَادِهِ ٱلْكُفْرَۖ وَإِن تَشْكُرُواْ يَرْضَهُ لَكُمْۗ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ أُخْرَىٰۗ ثُمَّ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكُم مَّرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمُۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ 7
۞ وَإِذَا مَسَّ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ ضُرٌّ دَعَا رَبَّهُۥ مُنِيبًا إِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ إِذَا خَوَّلَهُۥ نِعْمَةً مِّنْهُ نَسِىَ مَا كَانَ يَدْعُوٓاْ إِلَيْهِ مِن قَبْلُ وَجَعَلَ لِلَّهِ أَندَادًا لِّيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦۚ قُلْ تَمَتَّعْ بِكُفْرِكَ قَلِيلاًۖ إِنَّكَ مِنْ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلنَّارِ 8
أَمَّنْ هُوَ قَـٰنِتٌ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيْلِ سَاجِدًا وَقَآئِمًا يَحْذَرُ ٱلْأَخِرَةَ وَيَرْجُواْ رَحْمَةَ رَبِّهِۦۗ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِى ٱلَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُونَ وَٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَۗ إِنَّمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ أُوْلُواْ ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ 9
قُلْ يَـٰعِبَادِ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ ٱتَّقُواْ رَبَّكُمْۚ لِلَّذِينَ أَحْسَنُواْ فِى هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةٌۗ وَأَرْضُ ٱللَّهِ وَٲسِعَةٌۗ إِنَّمَا يُوَفَّى ٱلصَّـٰبِرُونَ أَجْرَهُم بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ 10
خَلَقَكُمkhalaqakumHe created youمِّنminfromنَّفْسٍۢnafsina soulوَٰحِدَةٍۢwāḥidatinsingleثُمَّthummaThenجَعَلَjaʿalaHe madeمِنْهَاmin'hāfrom itزَوْجَهَاzawjahāits mateوَأَنزَلَwa-anzalaAnd He sent downلَكُمlakumfor youمِّنَminaofٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِl-anʿāmithe cattleثَمَـٰنِيَةَthamāniyataeightأَزْوَٰجٍۢ ۚazwājinkindsيَخْلُقُكُمْyakhluqukumHe creates youفِىfīinبُطُونِbuṭūni(the) wombsأُمَّهَـٰتِكُمْummahātikum(of) your mothersخَلْقًۭاkhalqancreationمِّنۢminafterبَعْدِbaʿdiafterخَلْقٍۢkhalqincreationفِىfīinظُلُمَـٰتٍۢẓulumātindarkness[es]ثَلَـٰثٍۢ ۚthalāthinthreeذَٰلِكُمُdhālikumuThatٱللَّهُl-lahu(is) Allahرَبُّكُمْrabbukumyour Lordلَهُlahufor Himٱلْمُلْكُ ۖl-mul'ku(is) the dominionلَآlā(There is) noإِلَـٰهَilāhagodإِلَّاillāexceptهُوَ ۖhuwaHeفَأَنَّىٰfa-annāThen howتُصْرَفُونَtuṣ'rafūnaare you turning away
39:6
إِنinIfتَكْفُرُوا۟takfurūyou disbelieveفَإِنَّfa-innathen indeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahغَنِىٌّghaniyyun(is) free from needعَنكُمْ ۖʿankumof youوَلَاwalāAnd notيَرْضَىٰyarḍāHe likesلِعِبَادِهِliʿibādihiin His slavesٱلْكُفْرَ ۖl-kuf'raungratefulnessوَإِنwa-inAnd ifتَشْكُرُوا۟tashkurūyou are gratefulيَرْضَهُyarḍahuHe likes itلَكُمْ ۗlakumin youوَلَاwalāAnd notتَزِرُtaziruwill bearوَازِرَةٌۭwāziratunbearer of burdensوِزْرَwiz'ra(the) burdenأُخْرَىٰ ۗukh'rā(of) anotherثُمَّthummaThenإِلَىٰilātoرَبِّكُمrabbikumyour Lordمَّرْجِعُكُمْmarjiʿukum(is) your returnفَيُنَبِّئُكُمfayunabbi-ukumthen He will inform youبِمَاbimāabout whatكُنتُمْkuntumyou used toتَعْمَلُونَ ۚtaʿmalūnadoإِنَّهُۥinnahuIndeed, Heعَلِيمٌۢʿalīmun(is) the All-Knowerبِذَاتِbidhātiof what (is) in the breastsٱلصُّدُورِl-ṣudūriof what (is) in the breasts
39:7
۞ وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenمَسَّmassatouchesٱلْإِنسَـٰنَl-insāna[the] manضُرٌّۭḍurrunadversityدَعَاdaʿāhe callsرَبَّهُۥrabbahuhis Lordمُنِيبًاmunībanturningإِلَيْهِilayhito HimثُمَّthummathenإِذَاidhāwhenخَوَّلَهُۥkhawwalahuHe bestows on himنِعْمَةًۭniʿ'matana favorمِّنْهُmin'hufrom Himselfنَسِىَnasiyahe forgetsمَاmā(for) whatكَانَkānahe used to callيَدْعُوٓا۟yadʿūhe used to callإِلَيْهِilayhi[to] Himمِنminbeforeقَبْلُqablubeforeوَجَعَلَwajaʿalaand he sets upلِلَّهِlillahito Allahأَندَادًۭاandādanrivalsلِّيُضِلَّliyuḍillato misleadعَنʿanfromسَبِيلِهِۦ ۚsabīlihiHis PathقُلْqulSayتَمَتَّعْtamattaʿEnjoyبِكُفْرِكَbikuf'rikain your disbeliefقَلِيلًا ۖqalīlan(for) a littleإِنَّكَinnakaIndeed, youمِنْmin(are) ofأَصْحَـٰبِaṣḥābi(the) companionsٱلنَّارِl-nāri(of) the Fire
39:8
أَمَّنْammanIs (one) whoهُوَhuwa[he]قَـٰنِتٌqānitun(is) devoutly obedient ءَانَآءَānāa(during) hoursٱلَّيْلِal-layli(of) the nightسَاجِدًۭاsājidanprostratingوَقَآئِمًۭاwaqāimanand standingيَحْذَرُyaḥdharufearingٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَl-ākhiratathe Hereafterوَيَرْجُوا۟wayarjūand hopingرَحْمَةَraḥmata(for the) Mercyرَبِّهِۦ ۗrabbihi(of) his LordقُلْqulSayهَلْhalAreيَسْتَوِىyastawīequalٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnaknowوَٱلَّذِينَwa-alladhīnaand those whoلَاlā(do) notيَعْلَمُونَ ۗyaʿlamūnaknowإِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyيَتَذَكَّرُyatadhakkaruwill take heedأُو۟لُوا۟ulūthose of understandingٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِl-albābithose of understanding
39:9
قُلْqulSayيَـٰعِبَادِyāʿibādiO My slavesٱلَّذِينَalladhīna[those] whoءَامَنُوا۟āmanūbelieveٱتَّقُوا۟ittaqūFearرَبَّكُمْ ۚrabbakumyour LordلِلَّذِينَlilladhīnaFor those whoأَحْسَنُوا۟aḥsanūdo goodفِىfīinهَـٰذِهِhādhihithisٱلدُّنْيَاl-dun'yāworldحَسَنَةٌۭ ۗḥasanatun(is) goodوَأَرْضُwa-arḍuand the earthٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahوَٰسِعَةٌ ۗwāsiʿatun(is) spaciousإِنَّمَاinnamāOnlyيُوَفَّىyuwaffāwill be paid back in fullٱلصَّـٰبِرُونَl-ṣābirūnathe patient onesأَجْرَهُمajrahumtheir rewardبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutحِسَابٍۢḥisābinaccount
39:10
