هُوَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَكُم مِّن تُرَابٍ ثُمَّ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ ثُمَّ مِنْ عَلَقَةٍ ثُمَّ يُخْرِجُكُمْ طِفْلاً ثُمَّ لِتَبْلُغُوٓاْ أَشُدَّكُمْ ثُمَّ لِتَكُونُواْ شُيُوخًاۚ وَمِنكُم مَّن يُتَوَفَّىٰ مِن قَبْلُۖ وَلِتَبْلُغُوٓاْ أَجَلاً مُّسَمًّى وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ 67
هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُۖ فَإِذَا قَضَىٰٓ أَمْرًا فَإِنَّمَا يَقُولُ لَهُۥ كُن فَيَكُونُ 68
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ يُجَـٰدِلُونَ فِىٓ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ أَنَّىٰ يُصْرَفُونَ 69
ٱلَّذِينَ كَذَّبُواْ بِٱلْكِتَـٰبِ وَبِمَآ أَرْسَلْنَا بِهِۦ رُسُلَنَاۖ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ 70
إِذِ ٱلْأَغْلَـٰلُ فِىٓ أَعْنَـٰقِهِمْ وَٱلسَّلَـٰسِلُ يُسْحَبُونَ 71
فِى ٱلْحَمِيمِ ثُمَّ فِى ٱلنَّارِ يُسْجَرُونَ 72
ثُمَّ قِيلَ لَهُمْ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تُشْرِكُونَ 73
مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِۖ قَالُواْ ضَلُّواْ عَنَّا بَل لَّمْ نَكُن نَّدْعُواْ مِن قَبْلُ شَيْــًٔاۚ كَذَٲلِكَ يُضِلُّ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ 74
ذَٲلِكُم بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَفْرَحُونَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَمْرَحُونَ 75
ٱدْخُلُوٓاْ أَبْوَٲبَ جَهَنَّمَ خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَاۖ فَبِئْسَ مَثْوَى ٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَ 76
فَٱصْبِرْ إِنَّ وَعْدَ ٱللَّهِ حَۚقٌّ فَإِمَّا نُرِيَنَّكَ بَعْضَ ٱلَّذِى نَعِدُهُمْ أَوْ نَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَ فَإِلَيْنَا يُرْجَعُونَ 77
هُوَhuwaHeٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Whoخَلَقَكُمkhalaqakumcreated youمِّنminfromتُرَابٍۢturābindustثُمَّthummathenمِنminfromنُّطْفَةٍۢnuṭ'fatina semen-dropثُمَّthummathenمِنْminfromعَلَقَةٍۢʿalaqatina clinging substanceثُمَّthummathenيُخْرِجُكُمْyukh'rijukumHe brings you outطِفْلًۭاṭif'lan(as) a childثُمَّthummathenلِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟litablughūlets you reachأَشُدَّكُمْashuddakumyour maturityثُمَّthummathenلِتَكُونُوا۟litakūnūlets you becomeشُيُوخًۭا ۚshuyūkhanold وَمِنكُمwaminkumand among youمَّنman(is he) whoيُتَوَفَّىٰyutawaffādiesمِنminbefore قَبْلُ ۖqablubefore وَلِتَبْلُغُوٓا۟walitablughūand lets you reachأَجَلًۭاajalana termمُّسَمًّۭىmusammanspecifiedوَلَعَلَّكُمْwalaʿallakumand that you mayتَعْقِلُونَtaʿqilūnause reason
40:67
هُوَhuwaHeٱلَّذِىalladhī(is) the One Whoيُحْىِۦyuḥ'yīgives lifeوَيُمِيتُ ۖwayumītuand causes deathفَإِذَاfa-idhāAnd whenقَضَىٰٓqaḍāHe decreesأَمْرًۭاamrana matterفَإِنَّمَاfa-innamāthen onlyيَقُولُyaqūluHe saysلَهُۥlahuto itكُنkunBeفَيَكُونُfayakūnuand it is
40:68
أَلَمْalamDo notتَرَtarayou seeإِلَىilā[to]ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيُجَـٰدِلُونَyujādilūnadisputeفِىٓfīconcerningءَايَـٰتِāyāti(the) Signsٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) AllahأَنَّىٰannāHowيُصْرَفُونَyuṣ'rafūnathey are turned away
40:69
ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnaThose whoكَذَّبُوا۟kadhabūdenyبِٱلْكِتَـٰبِbil-kitābithe Bookوَبِمَآwabimāand with whatأَرْسَلْنَاarsalnāWe sentبِهِۦbihiwith itرُسُلَنَا ۖrusulanāOur Messengersفَسَوْفَfasawfabut soonيَعْلَمُونَyaʿlamūnathey will know
40:70
إِذِidhiWhenٱلْأَغْلَـٰلُl-aghlāluthe iron collarsفِىٓfī(will be) aroundأَعْنَـٰقِهِمْaʿnāqihimtheir necksوَٱلسَّلَـٰسِلُwal-salāsiluand the chainsيُسْحَبُونَyus'ḥabūnathey will be dragged
40:71
فِىfīInٱلْحَمِيمِl-ḥamīmithe boiling waterثُمَّthummathenفِىfīinٱلنَّارِl-nārithe Fireيُسْجَرُونَyus'jarūnathey will be burned
40:72
ثُمَّthummaThenقِيلَqīlait will be saidلَهُمْlahumto themأَيْنَaynaWhereمَاmā(is) that whichكُنتُمْkuntumyou used toتُشْرِكُونَtush'rikūnaassociate
40:73
مِنminOther thanدُونِdūniOther thanٱللَّهِ ۖl-lahiAllahقَالُوا۟qālūThey will sayضَلُّوا۟ḍallūThey have departedعَنَّاʿannāfrom usبَلbalNayلَّمْlamNotنَكُنnakunwe used toنَّدْعُوا۟nadʿū[we] callمِنminbeforeقَبْلُqablubeforeشَيْـًۭٔا ۚshayananythingكَذَٰلِكَkadhālikaThusيُضِلُّyuḍilluAllah lets go astrayٱللَّهُl-lahuAllah lets go astrayٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَl-kāfirīnathe disbelievers
40:74
ذَٰلِكُمdhālikumThat wasبِمَاbimābecauseكُنتُمْkuntumyou used toتَفْرَحُونَtafraḥūnarejoiceفِىfīinٱلْأَرْضِl-arḍithe earthبِغَيْرِbighayriwithoutٱلْحَقِّl-ḥaqirightوَبِمَاwabimāand becauseكُنتُمْkuntumyou used toتَمْرَحُونَtamraḥūnabe insolent
40:75
ٱدْخُلُوٓا۟ud'khulūEnterأَبْوَٰبَabwāba(the) gatesجَهَنَّمَjahannama(of) Hellخَـٰلِدِينَkhālidīna(to) abide foreverفِيهَا ۖfīhāin itفَبِئْسَfabi'saand wretched isمَثْوَىmathwā(the) abodeٱلْمُتَكَبِّرِينَl-mutakabirīna(of) the arrogant
40:76
فَٱصْبِرْfa-iṣ'birSo be patientإِنَّinnaindeedوَعْدَwaʿda(the) Promiseٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahحَقٌّۭ ۚḥaqqun(is) trueفَإِمَّاfa-immāAnd whetherنُرِيَنَّكَnuriyannakaWe show youبَعْضَbaʿḍasomeٱلَّذِىalladhī(of) whatنَعِدُهُمْnaʿiduhumWe have promised themأَوْaworنَتَوَفَّيَنَّكَnatawaffayannakaWe cause you to dieفَإِلَيْنَاfa-ilaynāthen to Usيُرْجَعُونَyur'jaʿūnathey will be returned
40:77
