وَلَئِن مُّتُّمْ أَوْ قُتِلْتُمْ لَإِلَى ٱللَّهِ تُحْشَرُونَ 158
فَبِمَا رَحْمَةٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ لِنتَ لَهُمْۖ وَلَوْ كُنتَ فَظًّا غَلِيظَ ٱلْقَلْبِ لَٱنفَضُّواْ مِنْ حَوْلِكَۖ فَٱعْفُ عَنْهُمْ وَٱسْتَغْفِرْ لَهُمْ وَشَاوِرْهُمْ فِى ٱلْأَمْرِۖ فَإِذَا عَزَمْتَ فَتَوَكَّلْ عَلَى ٱللَّهِۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلِينَ 159
إِن يَنصُرْكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فَلَا غَالِبَ لَكُمْۖ وَإِن يَخْذُلْكُمْ فَمَن ذَا ٱلَّذِى يَنصُرُكُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِۦۗ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ 160
وَمَا كَانَ لِنَبِىٍّ أَن يَغُلَّۚ وَمَن يَغْلُلْ يَأْتِ بِمَا غَلَّ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِۚ ثُمَّ تُوَفَّىٰ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ مَّا كَسَبَتْ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ 161
أَفَمَنِ ٱتَّبَعَ رِضْوَٲنَ ٱللَّهِ كَمَنۢ بَآءَ بِسَخَطٍ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَمَأْوَٮٰهُ جَهَنَّمُۚ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمَصِيرُ 162
هُمْ دَرَجَـٰتٌ عِندَ ٱللَّهِۗ وَٱللَّهُ بَصِيرُۢ بِمَا يَعْمَلُونَ 163
لَقَدْ مَنَّ ٱللَّهُ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِذْ بَعَثَ فِيهِمْ رَسُولاً مِّنْ أَنفُسِهِمْ يَتْلُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَيُزَكِّيهِمْ وَيُعَلِّمُهُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحِكْمَةَ وَإِن كَانُواْ مِن قَبْلُ لَفِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ 164
أَوَلَمَّآ أَصَـٰبَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَدْ أَصَبْتُم مِّثْلَيْهَا قُلْتُمْ أَنَّىٰ هَـٰذَاۖ قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ أَنفُسِكُمْۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَىْءٍ قَدِيرٌ 165
وَلَئِنwala-inAnd ifمُّتُّمْmuttumyou dieأَوْaworقُتِلْتُمْqutil'tumare killedلَإِلَىla-ilāsurely toٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahتُحْشَرُونَtuḥ'sharūnayou will be gathered
3:158
فَبِمَاfabimāSo becauseرَحْمَةٍۢraḥmatin(of) Mercyمِّنَminafromٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahلِنتَlintayou dealt gentlyلَهُمْ ۖlahumwith themوَلَوْwalawAnd ifكُنتَkuntayou had beenفَظًّاfaẓẓanrudeغَلِيظَghalīẓa(and) harshٱلْقَلْبِl-qalbi(at) [the] heartلَٱنفَضُّوا۟la-infaḍḍūsurely they (would have) dispersedمِنْminfromحَوْلِكَ ۖḥawlikaaround youفَٱعْفُfa-uʿ'fuThen pardonعَنْهُمْʿanhum[from] themوَٱسْتَغْفِرْwa-is'taghfirand ask forgivenessلَهُمْlahumfor themوَشَاوِرْهُمْwashāwir'humand consult themفِىfīinٱلْأَمْرِ ۖl-amrithe matterفَإِذَاfa-idhāThen whenعَزَمْتَʿazamtayou have decidedفَتَوَكَّلْfatawakkalthen put trustعَلَىʿalāonٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahiAllahإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahيُحِبُّyuḥibbulovesٱلْمُتَوَكِّلِينَl-mutawakilīnathe ones who put trust (in Him)
3:159
إِنinIfيَنصُرْكُمُyanṣur'kumuhelps youٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahفَلَاfalāthen notغَالِبَghāliba(can) overcomeلَكُمْ ۖlakum[for] youوَإِنwa-inand ifيَخْذُلْكُمْyakhdhul'kumHe forsakes youفَمَنfamanthen whoذَاdhā(is)ٱلَّذِىalladhīthe one whoيَنصُرُكُمyanṣurukumcan help youمِّنۢminfromبَعْدِهِۦ ۗbaʿdihiafter HimوَعَلَىwaʿalāAnd onٱللَّهِl-lahiAllah فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِfalyatawakkalilet put (their) trustٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūnathe believers
3:160
وَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānaisلِنَبِىٍّlinabiyyinfor a Prophetأَنanthatيَغُلَّ ۚyaghullahe defraudsوَمَنwamanAnd whoeverيَغْلُلْyaghluldefraudsيَأْتِyatiwill bringبِمَاbimāwhatغَلَّghallahe had defraudedيَوْمَyawma(on the) Dayٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ ۚl-qiyāmati(of) ResurrectionثُمَّthummaThenتُوَفَّىٰtuwaffāis repaid in fullكُلُّkullueveryنَفْسٍۢnafsinsoulمَّاmāwhatكَسَبَتْkasabatit earnedوَهُمْwahumand theyلَاlā(will) notيُظْلَمُونَyuẓ'lamūnabe wronged
3:161
أَفَمَنِafamaniSo is (the one) whoٱتَّبَعَittabaʿapursuesرِضْوَٰنَriḍ'wāna(the) pleasureٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) Allahكَمَنۢkamanlike (the one) whoبَآءَbāadrawsبِسَخَطٍۢbisakhaṭinon (himself) wrathمِّنَminaofٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahوَمَأْوَىٰهُwamawāhuand his abodeجَهَنَّمُ ۚjahannamu(is) hellوَبِئْسَwabi'saand wretchedٱلْمَصِيرُl-maṣīru(is) the destination
3:162
هُمْhumTheyدَرَجَـٰتٌdarajātun(are in varying) degreesعِندَʿindanearٱللَّهِ ۗl-lahiAllahوَٱللَّهُwal-lahuand Allahبَصِيرٌۢbaṣīrun(is) All-Seerبِمَاbimāof whatيَعْمَلُونَyaʿmalūnathey do
3:163
لَقَدْlaqadCertainlyمَنَّmannabestowed a Favorٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahعَلَىʿalāuponٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَl-mu'minīnathe believersإِذْidhasبَعَثَbaʿathaHe raisedفِيهِمْfīhimamong themرَسُولًۭاrasūlana Messengerمِّنْminfromأَنفُسِهِمْanfusihimthemselvesيَتْلُوا۟yatlūrecitingعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimto themءَايَـٰتِهِۦāyātihiHis Versesوَيُزَكِّيهِمْwayuzakkīhimand purifying themوَيُعَلِّمُهُمُwayuʿallimuhumuand teaching themٱلْكِتَـٰبَl-kitābathe Bookوَٱلْحِكْمَةَwal-ḥik'mataand the wisdomوَإِنwa-inalthoughكَانُوا۟kānūthey wereمِنminfromقَبْلُqablubefore (that)لَفِىlafīcertainly inضَلَـٰلٍۢḍalālin(the) errorمُّبِينٍmubīninclear
3:164
أَوَلَمَّآawalammāOr whenأَصَـٰبَتْكُمaṣābatkumstruck youمُّصِيبَةٌۭmuṣībatundisasterقَدْqadsurelyأَصَبْتُمaṣabtumyou (had) struck (them)مِّثْلَيْهَاmith'layhātwice of itقُلْتُمْqul'tumyou saidأَنَّىٰannāFrom whereهَـٰذَا ۖhādhā(is) thisقُلْqulSayهُوَhuwaItمِنْmin(is)عِندِʿindifromأَنفُسِكُمْ ۗanfusikumyourselvesإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahعَلَىٰʿalā(is) onكُلِّkullieveryشَىْءٍۢshayinthingقَدِيرٌۭqadīrunAll-Powerful
3:165
