لِّلرِّجَالِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ ٱلْوَٲلِدَانِ وَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَ وَلِلنِّسَآءِ نَصِيبٌ مِّمَّا تَرَكَ ٱلْوَٲلِدَانِ وَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَ مِمَّا قَلَّ مِنْهُ أَوْ كَثُرَۚ نَصِيبًا مَّفْرُوضًا 7
وَإِذَا حَضَرَ ٱلْقِسْمَةَ أُوْلُواْ ٱلْقُرْبَىٰ وَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ وَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينُ فَٱرْزُقُوهُم مِّنْهُ وَقُولُواْ لَهُمْ قَوْلاً مَّعْرُوفًا 8
وَلْيَخْشَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَوْ تَرَكُواْ مِنْ خَلْفِهِمْ ذُرِّيَّةً ضِعَـٰفًا خَافُواْ عَلَيْهِمْ فَلْيَتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ وَلْيَقُولُواْ قَوْلاً سَدِيدًا 9
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يَأْكُلُونَ أَمْوَٲلَ ٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰ ظُلْمًا إِنَّمَا يَأْكُلُونَ فِى بُطُونِهِمْ نَارًاۖ وَسَيَصْلَوْنَ سَعِيرًا 10
يُوصِيكُمُ ٱللَّهُ فِىٓ أَوْلَـٰدِكُمْۖ لِلذَّكَرِ مِثْلُ حَظِّ ٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِۚ فَإِن كُنَّ نِسَآءً فَوْقَ ٱثْنَتَيْنِ فَلَهُنَّ ثُلُثَا مَا تَرَكَۖ وَإِن كَانَتْ وَٲحِدَةً فَلَهَا ٱلنِّصْفُۚ وَلِأَبَوَيْهِ لِكُلِّ وَٲحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا ٱلسُّدُسُ مِمَّا تَرَكَ إِن كَانَ لَهُۥ وَلَدٌۚ فَإِن لَّمْ يَكُن لَّهُۥ وَلَدٌ وَوَرِثَهُۥٓ أَبَوَاهُ فَلِأُمِّهِ ٱلثُّلُثُۚ فَإِن كَانَ لَهُۥٓ إِخْوَةٌ فَلِأُمِّهِ ٱلسُّدُسُۚ مِنۢ بَعْدِ وَصِيَّةٍ يُوصِى بِهَآ أَوْ دَيْنٍۗ ءَابَآؤُكُمْ وَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْ لَا تَدْرُونَ أَيُّهُمْ أَقْرَبُ لَكُمْ نَفْعًاۚ فَرِيضَةً مِّنَ ٱللَّهِۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا 11
لِّلرِّجَالِlilrrijāliFor the menنَصِيبٌۭnaṣībuna portionمِّمَّاmimmāof whatتَرَكَtaraka(is) leftٱلْوَٰلِدَانِl-wālidāni(by) the parentsوَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَwal-aqrabūnaand the near relativesوَلِلنِّسَآءِwalilnnisāiand for the womenنَصِيبٌۭnaṣībuna portionمِّمَّاmimmāof whatتَرَكَtaraka(is) leftٱلْوَٰلِدَانِl-wālidāni(by) parentsوَٱلْأَقْرَبُونَwal-aqrabūnaand the near relativesمِمَّاmimmāof whatقَلَّqalla(is) littleمِنْهُmin'huof itأَوْaworكَثُرَ ۚkathuramuch نَصِيبًۭاnaṣībana portionمَّفْرُوضًۭاmafrūḍanobligatory
4:7
وَإِذَاwa-idhāAnd whenحَضَرَḥaḍarapresentٱلْقِسْمَةَl-qis'mata(at) the (time of) divisionأُو۟لُوا۟ulū(of)ٱلْقُرْبَىٰl-qur'bāthe relativesوَٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰwal-yatāmāand the orphansوَٱلْمَسَـٰكِينُwal-masākīnuand the poorفَٱرْزُقُوهُمfa-ur'zuqūhumthen provide themمِّنْهُmin'hufrom itوَقُولُوا۟waqūlūand speakلَهُمْlahumto themقَوْلًۭاqawlanwordsمَّعْرُوفًۭاmaʿrūfan(of) kindness
4:8
وَلْيَخْشَwalyakhshaAnd let fear ٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoلَوْlawifتَرَكُوا۟tarakūthey leftمِنْminfromخَلْفِهِمْkhalfihimbehindذُرِّيَّةًۭdhurriyyatanoffspringضِعَـٰفًاḍiʿāfanweakخَافُوا۟khāfū(and) they would have fearedعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimabout themفَلْيَتَّقُوا۟falyattaqūSo let them fearٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahوَلْيَقُولُوا۟walyaqūlūand let them speakقَوْلًۭاqawlanwordsسَدِيدًاsadīdanappropriate
4:9
إِنَّinnaIndeedٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoيَأْكُلُونَyakulūnaconsumeأَمْوَٰلَamwālawealthٱلْيَتَـٰمَىٰl-yatāmā(of) the orphansظُلْمًاẓul'manwrongfullyإِنَّمَاinnamāonlyيَأْكُلُونَyakulūnathey consumeفِىfīinبُطُونِهِمْbuṭūnihimtheir belliesنَارًۭا ۖnāranfireوَسَيَصْلَوْنَwasayaṣlawnaand they will be burnedسَعِيرًۭاsaʿīran(in) a Blazing Fire
4:10
يُوصِيكُمُyūṣīkumuInstructs youٱللَّهُl-lahuAllahفِىٓfīconcerningأَوْلَـٰدِكُمْ ۖawlādikumyour children لِلذَّكَرِlildhakarifor the maleمِثْلُmith'lulikeحَظِّḥaẓẓi(the) portionٱلْأُنثَيَيْنِ ۚl-unthayayni(of) two femalesفَإِنfa-inBut ifكُنَّkunnathere areنِسَآءًۭnisāan(only) womenفَوْقَfawqamore (than)ٱثْنَتَيْنِith'nataynitwoفَلَهُنَّfalahunnathen for themثُلُثَاthuluthātwo thirdsمَاmā(of) whatتَرَكَ ۖtarakahe leftوَإِنwa-inAnd ifكَانَتْkānat(there) isوَٰحِدَةًۭwāḥidatan(only) oneفَلَهَاfalahāthen for herٱلنِّصْفُ ۚl-niṣ'fu(is) halfوَلِأَبَوَيْهِwali-abawayhiAnd for his parentsلِكُلِّlikullifor eachوَٰحِدٍۢwāḥidinoneمِّنْهُمَاmin'humāof themٱلسُّدُسُl-sudusua sixthمِمَّاmimmāof whatتَرَكَtaraka(is) leftإِنinifكَانَkānaisلَهُۥlahufor himوَلَدٌۭ ۚwaladuna childفَإِنfa-inBut ifلَّمْlamnotيَكُنyakunisلَّهُۥlahufor himوَلَدٌۭwaladunany childوَوَرِثَهُۥٓwawarithahuand inherit[ed] himأَبَوَاهُabawāhuhis parentsفَلِأُمِّهِfali-ummihithen for his motherٱلثُّلُثُ ۚl-thuluthu(is) one thirdفَإِنfa-inAnd ifكَانَkānaareلَهُۥٓlahufor himإِخْوَةٌۭikh'watunbrothers and sistersفَلِأُمِّهِfali-ummihithen for his motherٱلسُّدُسُ ۚl-sudusu(is) the sixthمِنۢminfromبَعْدِbaʿdiafterوَصِيَّةٍۢwaṣiyyatinany willيُوصِىyūṣīhe has madeبِهَآbihā[of which]أَوْaworدَيْنٍ ۗdayninany debtءَابَآؤُكُمْābāukumYour parentsوَأَبْنَآؤُكُمْwa-abnāukumand your children لَاlānotتَدْرُونَtadrūnayou knowأَيُّهُمْayyuhumwhich of themأَقْرَبُaqrabu(is) nearerلَكُمْlakumto youنَفْعًۭا ۚnafʿan(in) benefitفَرِيضَةًۭfarīḍatanAn obligationمِّنَminafromٱللَّهِ ۗl-lahiAllahإِنَّinnaIndeedٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahكَانَkānaisعَلِيمًاʿalīmanAll-KnowingحَكِيمًۭاḥakīmanAll-Wise
4:11
