قَالَتْ لَهُمْ رُسُلُهُمْ إِن نَّحْنُ إِلَّا بَشَرٌ مِّثْلُكُمْ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَمُنُّ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦۖ وَمَا كَانَ لَنَآ أَن نَّأْتِيَكُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِ ٱللَّهِۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ 11
وَمَا لَنَآ أَلَّا نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَٮٰنَا سُبُلَنَاۚ وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَىٰ مَآ ءَاذَيْتُمُونَاۚ وَعَلَى ٱللَّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ ٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ 12
وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ لِرُسُلِهِمْ لَنُخْرِجَنَّكُم مِّنْ أَرْضِنَآ أَوْ لَتَعُودُنَّ فِى مِلَّتِنَاۖ فَأَوْحَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِمْ رَبُّهُمْ لَنُهْلِكَنَّ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ 13
وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُ ٱلْأَرْضَ مِنۢ بَعْدِهِمْۚ ذَٲلِكَ لِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامِى وَخَافَ وَعِيدِ 14
وَٱسْتَفْتَحُواْ وَخَابَ كُلُّ جَبَّارٍ عَنِيدٍ 15
مِّن وَرَآئِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ وَيُسْقَىٰ مِن مَّآءٍ صَدِيدٍ 16
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥ وَلَا يَكَادُ يُسِيغُهُۥ وَيَأْتِيهِ ٱلْمَوْتُ مِن كُلِّ مَكَانٍ وَمَا هُوَ بِمَيِّتٍۖ وَمِن وَرَآئِهِۦ عَذَابٌ غَلِيظٌ 17
مَّثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ بِرَبِّهِمْۖ أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ كَرَمَادٍ ٱشْتَدَّتْ بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى يَوْمٍ عَاصِفٍۖ لَّا يَقْدِرُونَ مِمَّا كَسَبُواْ عَلَىٰ شَىْءٍۚ ذَٲلِكَ هُوَ ٱلضَّلَـٰلُ ٱلْبَعِيدُ 18
قَالَتْqālatSaidلَهُمْlahumto themرُسُلُهُمْrusuluhumtheir MessengersإِنinNotنَّحْنُnaḥnuwe (are)إِلَّاillābutبَشَرٌۭbasharuna humanمِّثْلُكُمْmith'lukumlike youوَلَـٰكِنَّwalākinnabutٱللَّهَl-lahaAllahيَمُنُّyamunnubestows His GraceعَلَىٰʿalāonمَنmanwhomيَشَآءُyashāuHe willsمِنْminofعِبَادِهِۦ ۖʿibādihiHis slavesوَمَاwamāAnd notكَانَkānaisلَنَآlanāfor usأَنanthatنَّأْتِيَكُمnatiyakumwe bring youبِسُلْطَـٰنٍbisul'ṭāninan authorityإِلَّاillāexceptبِإِذْنِbi-idh'niby the permission of Allahٱللَّهِ ۚl-lahiby the permission of AllahوَعَلَىwaʿalāAnd uponٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِfalyatawakkaliso let put (their) trustٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَl-mu'minūnathe believers
14:11
وَمَاwamāAnd whatلَنَآlanā(is) for usأَلَّاallāthat notنَتَوَكَّلَnatawakkalawe put our trustعَلَىʿalāuponٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahوَقَدْwaqadwhile certainlyهَدَىٰنَاhadānāHe has guided usسُبُلَنَا ۚsubulanāto our waysوَلَنَصْبِرَنَّwalanaṣbirannaAnd surely we will bear with patienceعَلَىٰʿalāonمَآmāwhatءَاذَيْتُمُونَا ۚādhaytumūnāharm you may cause usوَعَلَىwaʿalāAnd uponٱللَّهِl-lahiAllahفَلْيَتَوَكَّلِfalyatawakkaliso let put (their) trustٱلْمُتَوَكِّلُونَl-mutawakilūnathe ones who put (their) trust
14:12
وَقَالَwaqālaAnd saidٱلَّذِينَalladhīnathose whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelievedلِرُسُلِهِمْlirusulihimto their Messengersلَنُخْرِجَنَّكُمlanukh'rijannakumSurely we will drive you outمِّنْminofأَرْضِنَآarḍināour landأَوْaworلَتَعُودُنَّlataʿūdunnasurely you should returnفِىfītoمِلَّتِنَا ۖmillatināour religionفَأَوْحَىٰٓfa-awḥāSo inspiredإِلَيْهِمْilayhimto themرَبُّهُمْrabbuhumtheir Lordلَنُهْلِكَنَّlanuh'likannaWe will surely destroyٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَl-ẓālimīnathe wrongdoers
14:13
وَلَنُسْكِنَنَّكُمُwalanus'kinannakumuAnd surely We will make you dwellٱلْأَرْضَl-arḍa(in) the landمِنۢminafter themبَعْدِهِمْ ۚbaʿdihimafter themذَٰلِكَdhālikaThatلِمَنْliman(is) for whoeverخَافَkhāfafearsمَقَامِىmaqāmīstanding before Meوَخَافَwakhāfaand fearsوَعِيدِwaʿīdiMy Threat
14:14
وَٱسْتَفْتَحُوا۟wa-is'taftaḥūAnd they sought victoryوَخَابَwakhābaand disappointedكُلُّkullueveryجَبَّارٍjabbārintyrantعَنِيدٍۢʿanīdinobstinate
14:15
مِّنminof himوَرَآئِهِۦwarāihiAheadجَهَنَّمُjahannamu(is) Hellوَيُسْقَىٰwayus'qāand he will be made to drinkمِنminofمَّآءٍۢmāinwaterصَدِيدٍۢṣadīdinpurulent
14:16
يَتَجَرَّعُهُۥyatajarraʿuhuHe will sip itوَلَاwalābut notيَكَادُyakāduhe will be nearيُسِيغُهُۥyusīghuhu(to) swallowing itوَيَأْتِيهِwayatīhiAnd will come to himٱلْمَوْتُl-mawtuthe deathمِنminfromكُلِّkullieveryمَكَانٍۢmakāninsideوَمَاwamābut notهُوَhuwaheبِمَيِّتٍۢ ۖbimayyitinwill dieوَمِنwaminAnd ahead of himوَرَآئِهِۦwarāihiAnd ahead of himعَذَابٌʿadhābun(is) a punishmentغَلِيظٌۭghalīẓunharsh
14:17
مَّثَلُmathalu(The) exampleٱلَّذِينَalladhīna(of) those whoكَفَرُوا۟kafarūdisbelieveبِرَبِّهِمْ ۖbirabbihimin their Lordأَعْمَـٰلُهُمْaʿmāluhumtheir deedsكَرَمَادٍkaramādin(are) like ashesٱشْتَدَّتْish'taddatblows furiouslyبِهِbihion itٱلرِّيحُl-rīḥuthe windفِىfīinيَوْمٍyawmina dayعَاصِفٍۢ ۖʿāṣifinstormyلَّاlāNoيَقْدِرُونَyaqdirūnacontrol (they have)مِمَّاmimmāof whatكَسَبُوا۟kasabūthey have earnedعَلَىٰʿalāonشَىْءٍۢ ۚshayinanythingذَٰلِكَdhālikaThatهُوَhuwa[it]ٱلضَّلَـٰلُl-ḍalālu(is) the strayingٱلْبَعِيدُl-baʿīdufar
14:18
